We’re heading to the mountains above the Moroccan coast, where yoga meets sandboarding, surf breaks meet rooftop sunsets, and adventure lives right outside your door.
Join us for 7 days of movement, connection, and the kind of play you forgot you needed. You’ll hike through Paradise Valley, ride waves, fly down dunes, and eat fire-cooked meals under a sky full of stars.
Discover the wild rhythm of Tamazirt, where surf towns meet Berber villages, and the desert meets the sea.
We’re going off-grid, into the dusty mountains above the coast, where Berber villages meet surf-town energy and the air smells like spice and salt. From our base in the mountain lodge, we’ll head to the sea to surf, hike secret valleys, and ride dunes at sunset. This is Morocco in motion, real, raw, and unforgettable.
beyond the beach break
This isn’t just about catching waves or taking pictures, it’s about real moments and simply having fun.
From Paradise Valley hikes to spontaneous rooftop dance nights, this week has a way of turning strangers into something more.
mountain movement
Start the day with yoga and meditation as the sun rises over the hills. It’s playful, grounding, and the best way to begin a day of adventure.
surf sessions
March is prime surf season, and we’re taking full advantage. You’ll get 3 group lessons, and if you’re hooked, there’s time to paddle out during free time.
desert adventures
Forget tourist traps. We’re sandboarding in desert dunes, hiking waterfalls in Paradise Valley, and seeing a side of Morocco most people miss.
local immersion
Visit the hammam, explore local markets, or sip mint tea with a view. We’ll share space with Moroccan culture, not just pass through it.
local cuisine
We eat together, always. Tagines, baskets of warm bread, spiced veggies, roasted meats, fresh fruit, mint tea on repeat.
fireside everything
Games, music, long talks, stargazing, the best moments happen when the day winds down and no one’s checking the time.
WORDS FROM PAST ATTENDEES
“It was incredible and so well organized. Even though it was a retreat, we did everything I would have wanted to do if I was just visiting with friends. The yoga was restful and powerful, the people and staff were so generous, the food was amazing, the ‘excursions’ were inspiring, and the spiritual talks and rituals were enlightening. GO ON A RETREAT. Yogi or not, young or old, male or female, GO ON A RETREAT.”
The retreat was everything I didn’t know I needed. From sunrise yoga with ocean views to laughing over dinner with the best group of people, every moment felt so intentional and full of good energy. Carrigan and Kennon are truly special—they create space for connection, growth, and joy in a way that feels effortless. I came in hoping for a reset and left with a full heart and friendships that extend far beyond the trip.
This was my third Habitat retreat and somehow, they keep getting better. From Bali, to Peru, to Thailand, I can honestly say most of my favorite memories have been through these retreats. I’m so grateful to know and travel with such inspiring humans, and I can’t wait for the next adventure.
We’ll be staying at a mountain guesthouse in Tamazirt, just above Morocco’s surf coast. It’s quiet, local, and made for retreat-style living, with a stunning yoga shala, a pool, and beautiful views of the hills and sea.
You’ll choose between a double, triple, or dorm-style room depending on your preference.
Meals are home-cooked and served family-style, warm tagines, fresh veggies, Moroccan bread, and mint tea every day. It’s cozy, communal, and always satisfying.
This isn’t a luxury resort, it’s a place to land, connect, and experience Morocco in a real way.
