SUNRISE AND SUNSET OVER THE PLAINS, EVERY SINGLE DAY.

We drive at dawn and again at dusk because that's when the animals are active, plus it means you watch the sun come up and go down over the Mara every day of the week.

Mornings are chilly and quiet. We come back for a long breakfast, and the middle of the day is yours Then we go back out for the good evening light.

One morning we're in a balloon. One evening we stop the vehicles, pour drinks, and enjoy a bonfire and dinner in the bush. Every day brings new surprises as we watch the wild plains before us.

KENYA SOLD OUT IN 72 HOURS LAST TIME

And we already sold over half the spots this year in pre-sales. So there are only a few spots left.

Seven Days

Here's

Your

Rhythm

Coffee in the dark, blankets in the vehicle, out for the morning drive. Mid-morning back for a long breakfast chill, journal, lunch. Golden hour we head out again. Then dinner together every night under more stars than you're used to.

One

Sunday

Bush flight in
fried food on black round plate

We will meet in Nairobi, then transfer to our airstrip for our private bush flight out to the plans. First game drive on the way in. Opening circle, settle, eat. Then we head out for our evening game drive.

Two

Monday

Into the Mara

Up early for the dawn game drive, then back to camp for breakfast and some rest. An afternoon discussion for anyone who wants to join, followed by the evening game drive, then a bonfire and stargazing to close out the night.

Three

Tuesday

Hot Air Balloon Over the plains

The hot air balloon lifts off at first light, followed by a special breakfast out in the bush (buffet & mimosas, for real). Seeing the savannah from above is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you will never forget. Back to camp to rest and reconnect before the evening game drive and dinner.

Four

Wednesday

On to our next camp

A game drive carries you across to our second camp, arriving in time for lunch and a slower afternoon to settle in. An afternoon discussion, then sundowners out in the bush as the day winds down.

Five

Thursday

On foot

A walking safari with a Maasai guide, followed by a private breakfast in the bush. The middle of the day is yours to rest, before an evening game drive, dinner, and a night game drive to close things out.

Six

Friday

Final day in the bush

A morning game drive, then back to camp for food and rest, a massage, the pool, or a nap, if that's what the day calls for. One final evening drive and a closing circle before the trip winds down.

Seven

Saturday

Say Goodbye

Sleep in and pack, then we head out after lunch with a final game drive to the airstrip. A private bush flight back to Nairobi, and onward flights home.

Two Camps

Maasai Mara

TWO CAMPS FOR TWO DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES

CAMP ONE: BASECAMP

Nights 1–3 — Rustic eco-camp

Canvas tents along the Talek River, solar power, and the sound of the bush a few inches from your head. Simple, clean, deeply atmospheric, and genuinely rustic. A great safari camp, not a hotel.

What it is not: a luxury lodge. That's the trade for being this close to the wildlife.

CAMP TWO: EAGLE VIEW

Nights 4–6 — Luxury safari camp

This one's properly luxurious. A hilltop camp in Naboisho, with vast raised tents, private verandas, a pool, and a view over the plain that runs all the way to the horizon.

A pool and a spa. Sip wine in the tub while you watch elephants stroll by.

WHAT YOU'LL SEE

Lion · Leopard · Elephant · Buffalo · Rhino

Plus cheetah, hippo, crocodile, giraffe, baboon, hyena and zebra. November is green season, so the plains are full and the crowds have gone.

All of these photos are from our last Kenya Retreat, taken by Sarah Lord Photo.

NOT A YOGA RETREAT

Unlike other Habitat Retreats - this experience is not a yoga retreat. Instead, we will create a more intentional experience through group discussion and our custom retreat journal.

  • A custom journal, and prompts if you want them

  • Guided group discussion, opening and closing circles

  • Stretching and mindfulness, offered and optional

  • One no-phone day, which people tend to remember most

Why it costs what it costs

Conservancy access, not the public park. The fees you pay go directly into preserving the plains, and they keep it exclusive: a strict cap on beds and vehicles across a huge landscape, so your sightings are not shared with a queue of other trucks.

A group rate you could not get alone. Vehicles, guides, private camp space and the balloon all get split across the group, so a week at this level costs less per person than booking it yourself.

Private bush flights, both ways. No long transfer road days. You fly in and out of the Mara on our own aircraft.

Every fee already paid. Maasai Mara and conservancy fees, the balloon, the night drive, the walking safari, flying doctor cover, transfers and all meals. Nothing to book and no hidden fees once you land.

(FAQ)

How do I get to the retreat?

You'll fly into Nairobi on your own, and we'll take it from there. Once you land, we will have someone waiting at the airport to assist. We will transfer together to the airstrip for our bush flight to the Mara.

Is this a yoga or wellness retreat?

No, this one's different on purpose. What you get instead: space to think, a custom journal, and a group willing to actually talk. Stretching and mindfulness are offered, but optional.

What's the deposit and payment plan?

A $1,000 deposit holds your spot. The remaining balance can be split monthly, or in two, four, or six payments, you'll choose your plan when you pay the deposit. Full balance is due by October 2027.

Can I sign up alone?

Yes, most people do! Rooms are shared - you can sign up with a friend, or we'll thoughtfully match you with another guest.

What's the food situation? Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?

Yes, we've got you. You'll fill out an intake form prior to departure and we will communicate ahead of time with the venue to make sure you're good to go.

Will you help me pre-retreat?

Yes, we will help you with flight suggestions, packing list, visa info - really anything you might need to know before takeoff. Oh, and a private pre-retreat group chat!

Will I have phone service or wifi?

Yes! Both camps have wifi.
